We hope this message finds you well, and thank you for staying connected with the Andaman Center. As the school year comes to a close, we reflect on months shaped by uncertainty, but also by resilience, joy, and hope.

We remain committed to providing a safe, healthy, and engaging space where children can learn, grow, and simply be children.

🌿 Mindful Education: Respect and Conservation

ACME students learning mindfulness and respect

This term, our students engaged deeply with lessons rooted in awareness, respect, and care for the world around them.

Through the COAST Project, they explored practical ways to reduce plastic use, sort waste responsibly, and understand the importance of environmental stewardship. Living close to the Andaman Sea, the message feels especially powerful:

Protect the ocean, protect our future.

Most recently, students and families gathered to make merit at Wat Pa San — a meaningful moment of reflection and community connection. Together, these experiences nurture both environmental responsibility and cultural awareness, helping shape thoughtful, compassionate young people.

🌞 Joy to the World: Celebrating Childhood

Joyful play at the Andaman Center for Migrant Education

Alongside learning, there has been plenty of play.

A playful day at the orange farm brought laughter, fresh air, and shared discovery. Children’s Day celebrations filled our grounds with games, music, and bright smiles. Seasonal gatherings added warmth and happiness to the term.

We were also grateful for the generosity of Give Children A Choice, whose thoughtful support provided beautiful gift bags for our students. The excitement and gratitude we witnessed were unforgettable — small moments that carry lasting encouragement.

🌱 Looking Ahead

As we move into the next term, our focus remains on strengthening the daily environment for our students. Here are some of our immediate goals:

  • Improving the school yard, to keep down the dust.
  • Developing a new play field next to the Center. With all of the new students, we don’t have enough play space. A new field will allow us to expand our sports program
  • Upgrading bathrooms to keep up with student numbers.

If you would like to help with these vital improvements, donations are most welcome.

A Quick Message From Our Team

In uncertain times, your steady support continues to make this place possible. Because of you, children who walk through our gates find stability, encouragement, and hope. Thank you for standing with us.
